Talk to Him

Getting to speak to our families on Christmas brought up the thought of our heavenly family. I was so excited to be able to talk to my sisters and brothers and especially my Mom. Heavenly Father waits anxiously for us to acknowledge him and talk to him. We experienced some moments of silence because I haven't been able to just talk to them in a while. But those moments were quickly overcome when we each spoke. Heavenly Father is always waiting, he will make up for awkward silences by sending his spirit and love. For most of us our earthly family is only a phone call away, so is Heavenly Father he is always a prayer away and when we start the prayer he can send help speeding in our direction if we need it. There is a talk by Elder Scott, the address is here that talks about Heavenly Father answering prayers.

Everything that Heavenly Father wants us to do and be starts with an acknowledgement of Him. It starts with a prayer. Just a prayer like I need to know that you are there will bring the answer we need not always in expected ways but still answers will come. Sometimes they come as a reminder of what we already know and that is a reassurance in itself. I testify that Heavenly Father is real. That he knows each of us by name and that he is waiting for us to talk to him so he can help us. He loves us no matter what choices we make and he will help us to return to him if we ask him.
